EXTRAORDINARY REMEDIES AND RELIEF

Our attorneys have had extensive and successful experience in obtaining extraordinary relief in the form of temporary restraining orders, preliminary and permanent injunctions for our clients in both the state and federal courts.  This experience also includes the lesser known extraordinary remedies of mandamus and prohibition.  Moreover, we have also been successful in defeating such relief when it is sought against our clients.  Based upon this experience we are able to guide the client through the decision and implementation process utilizing these tools.  Examples of our work in this area include obtaining an injunction to prevent a car rental franchisee from operating one franchise while still under contract to another and preventing an international equipment company from halting the sale of its products by our clients.  In situations where the resolution of a dispute cannot await the normal time of a lawsuit, the use of these extraordinary remedies can be very cost effective.  These types of situations require immediate and thorough action which our firm is always willing and able to take.
