FREDERICK H. RIESMEYER,
II,
("Fritz"), born August 4, 1952, has, during his legal career, been
extremely active in litigation with an emphasis in the business and commercial
area. He tried his first jury trial
soon after graduating from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of
Law in 1977, and has been doing trial work in the state and federal courts ever
since. He is a graduate of the
National Institute of Trial Advocacy and has been an active member of the
faculty for the past five years. When
not in the courtroom, Fritz promotes his interest in trial work by participating
in numerous seminars involving trial practice, ethics and business litigation
issues and serves as a master in the Ross T. Roberts Inn of Court, which he
helped to found in 1982. He also is
active in the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and was president of the
Young Lawyers Section in 1987. Fritz,
who grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, enjoys sailing in his spare time and is an
avid squash player. He and his
wife, Carol, have four children, Wesley, Mark, Emily and Daniel.
In addition to his work in the law, Fritz has maintained an active
presence in his community, including serving on the board, and as Chairman of
the Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority of Missouri, as a
director and Chairman of the Sherwood School for the Exceptional Child and
presently a member of the Board of Directors of Truman Medical Center and the
board of the HMO organization known as Family Health Partners, Inc.
