FREDERICK H. RIESMEYER, II, ("Fritz"), born August 4, 1952, has, during his legal career, been extremely active in litigation with an emphasis in the business and commercial area.  He tried his first jury trial soon after graduating from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law in 1977, and has been doing trial work in the state and federal courts ever since.  He is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and has been an active member of the faculty for the past five years.  When not in the courtroom, Fritz promotes his interest in trial work by participating in numerous seminars involving trial practice, ethics and business litigation issues and serves as a master in the Ross T. Roberts Inn of Court, which he helped to found in 1982.  He also is active in the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and was president of the Young Lawyers Section in 1987.  Fritz, who grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, enjoys sailing in his spare time and is an avid squash player.  He and his wife, Carol, have four children, Wesley, Mark, Emily and Daniel.  In addition to his work in the law, Fritz has maintained an active presence in his community, including serving on the board, and as Chairman of the Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority of Missouri, as a director and Chairman of the Sherwood School for the Exceptional Child and presently a member of the Board of Directors of Truman Medical Center and the board of the HMO organization known as Family Health Partners, Inc.
