RONALD C. SPRADLEY born June 15, 1940, is a former Assistant Attorney General of Missouri (in charge of the Kansas City office in 1970 and 1971).  He became Senior Vice President of a major area electric and gas utility between 1972 and 1974, before starting his own law practice in 1974 in downtown Kansas City.  His primary areas of practice in recent years have been business and corporate shareholder litigation, banking and commercial transactions and litigation.  Ron was chairman of the Commercial Law Committee of the Missouri Bar in 1987 and 1988.  He is active in the Commercial and Banking Litigation Committee of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association.  He has been a faculty member of ABA and Banking Law Institute Seminars on banking and lender liability issues.  He is a frequent author of articles on corporate, banking and commercial legal issues, including the commercial & Banking Litigation (ABA) Newsletter.

 

Recognition and Awards, Recipient of 1991 Oliver Rasch Award for Outstanding Article in the Journal of The Missouri Bar (Litigating Rights of Dissenting Shareholders "Fair Value.", Missouri Bar, June, 1990).

 

Active in the Kansas City community for years, Ron is past President of the Board of Crittenton Center and recently completed a 2-year term as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Truman Medical Center.  He and his wife, Mary, have two grown daughters, Jennifer and Laura.
